To whom does the HARUBUNTU Prize goes?
The Harubuntu Prize is for Africans who carry the hope and who create the wealth on the continent. These are women and men, who positively change the communities where they live.
Conditions
Below are the conditions to participate in the Prize:
- Being African
- Living in Africa
- Carrying a project which is already running (at least a project which exists from before January 2012)
How to submit a candidacy?

Note: former projects which reached the level of pre-selection can no longer be receivable.
Which Prize for the winners?
Six people (max.) who carry the hope and who create the wealth in Africa will be granted the Harubuntu prize during some celebrations in Brussels in December 2013.
The laureates who will fit to each of the categories of the prize will be granted:
- Financial support up to 2500 euros
- An international media coverage through the Harubuntu project
- Some local media coverage during a conference press in their region
- Some chance to integrate the network of the HARUBUNTU members and to use its facilities (experience sharing, meetings, grants, etc.)
Honorary candidates who will have gained the attention of the jury will benefit from:
- An international media coverage through the Harubuntu project
- Some local media coverage during a conference press in their region
- Some chance to integrate the network of the HARUBUNTU members and to use its facilities (experience sharing, meetings, grants, etc.)
Time planning for the HARUBUNTU 2013
- April 16, 2013: Online call for projects
- July 7, 2013: Deadline for submitting the projects
- Mid-July 2013: Pre-selection of 15 laureates
- August-September 2013: Visits to the pre-selected projects
- September 2013: Selection of 6 winners
- October 2013: Video coverage of the winning and the honorary projects
- December 2013: HARUBUNTU week in Brussels and prize giving to winners
